Been wanting to check out Priest? In 3D? In NYC? Sitting on Paul Bettany’s lap? We can’t promise you’ll be sitting on Paul Bettany’s lap, but with him and director Scott Stewart in attendance at the screening, it couldn’t hurt to ask.
Our friends over at Fangoria are hosting a FREE 3D screening of some of the footage from the post-apocalyptic action/horror comic/turned movie Priest next Tuesday, April 19th, at the AMC Lincoln Square (1998 Broadway and 68th Street). This will be a very special preview with exclusive 3D footage, Q&A with Bettany/Stewart, free refreshments and some sweet prizes and giveaways.
This is a totally free event so if you want to crash the party, send an e-mail here with your full name in the e-mail. Offer is good for you and one guest. Names will be checked at the door. Offer is first-come/first-served, and Fango will confirm your RSVP.
You can also scope out the details on the Fangoria website.
Priest opens wide on May 13th so if you are in the area, take advantage of this cool event and be ahead of the curve.
It’s been a long wait – where are your expectations? Talk about it in the comments down below.
Set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires, Paul Bettany is Priest, a legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War, who now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. But when his 18-year-old niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires in the desolate wastelands outside, Priest breaks his sacred vows and ventures out to find her and seek vengeance upon those responsible, especially their brutal leader (Karl Urban). Priest is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend, Hicks (Cam Gigandet), a local outpost sheriff, and Priestess (Maggie Q), a member of his former legion of vampire-killers who has otherworldly fighting skills.
