Hot off his stint in Scream 4, emerging star Nico Tortorella (pictured) and his insanely high hair look to be circling yet another odd little project as the main bad guy. Read on for details.
THR reports that Tortorella is in negotiations to nab the villain role in Odd Thomas, Stephen Sommers’ adaptation of the Dean Koontz book series.
The film, which is sporting a budget in the $20 to $30 million range, is due to shoot in New Mexico later this spring and summer. Already signed on is Anton Yelchin as Odd, a short-order cook who can commune with the dead, a secret only his girlfriend (Addison Timlin) and the local police chief (a role Willem Dafoe is circling) know. The young man can also spot malevolent forces called bodachs, who feed on pain and portend imminent death. When Odd sees them in spades surrounding a stranger, he finds himself in a race against time to avert a catastrophe.
