More Casting News for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D; Another New Image Released!

Two more big names have signed on for director Michael J. Bassett’s Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, which is currently lensing in Toronto, Canada — Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix Trilogy, Memento) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Rob Zombie’s Halloween, Halloween II).

The newest residents of Michael J. Bassett’s world of Silent Hill: Revelation 3D are Carrie-Anne Moss (pictured right), who will play “Claudia Wolf”, and Malcolm McDowell as “Leonard Wolf.”
Moss and McDowell join rising star Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Vampire, Mad Max: Fury Road); Kit Harington (HBO’s upcoming series “Game of Thrones”); and returning Silent Hill residents Radha Mitchell (The Crazies, Surrogates); Sean Bean (“Game of Thrones”, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Lord of the Rings), and Deborah Kara Unger (Shake Hands with the Devil, 88 Minutes). The film is produced by Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody.
Hadida said of Moss: “Carrie has displayed her enormous talent across all genres – from The Matrix Trilogy to Memento – and we are delighted for her to join the world of Silent Hill. She will certainly bring a new level of excitement to fans of the videogame franchise.”
Director Bassett said of McDowell: “Malcolm is quite simply an icon of modern cinema, and I’ve been a fan since I was a teenager when I managed to see A Clockwork Orange. He has an amazing ability to bring new and unexpected dimensions to his characters, and I know he will bring something unique and disturbing to Silent Hill.”
Lionsgate is handling international sales on Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, which is based on the acclaimed survival horror videogame franchise by KONAMI and is the sequel to Hadida and Carmody’s earlier Silent Hill directed by Christophe Gans.
Synopsis:
For years Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father (Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now, on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
