MTV Finally Unveils Its Teen Wolf Trailer

The wait is finally over. MTV has released the full trailer for its “Teen Wolf” redux, which debuts Sunday night, June 5th, following the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. We know it’s tough, but try to contain yourselves.

Scott (Tyler Posey) was just a regular guy until one bite changed his life forever.

Now he struggles to understand who he is and what he might become. Is he more wolf than human – or is it the other way around? Whichever it is, it’s not going to be easy. Scott will try to control his urges, but mostly he’s scared that it’s his urges that could end up controlling him.

Teen Wolf is the story of Scott as he tries to walk the line between what he wants and what he can’t help from wanting. Will the bite end up being a gift? Or will it be a curse? And what will it all mean for his relationship with Allison (Crystal Reed) – the girl he can’t get enough of? Only time will tell if he should embrace his newfound powers, or if he should fear them.

Co-starring with Posey and Reed are Dylan O’Brien and Tyler Hoechlin. “Criminal Minds” creator Jeff Davis wrote “Teen Wolf” for MTV and is executive producing the series with Rene Echevarria, Marty Adelstein, and Michael Thorn. Russell Mulcahey (Resident Evil: Extinction) directed the pilot.

Check it out below and let us know what you think. There is one encouraging thing; Toby Wilkins (Splinter) is directing a few episodes, and per @TobyWilkins on Twitter “There’s even some steamy shots from [his] episodes” included in the trailer. At least we can count on a bit of steaminess if nothing else.

Lacrosse is not a sport. And it’s gay.

Wow. This looks like a pile of dicks.

It’s like all the did was look at the title and then scrap everything else… that doesn’t even RESEMBLE Teen Wolf.

On the other hand, it DOES resemble EVERY OTHER WEREWOLF MOVIE EVER MADE.

Eh. I’ve seen worse. Never truly cared for the original film anyway, and this is coming from a huge werewolf fan.

    “Chew on this!”
