While film geeks may enjoy it more than us regular horror heads, that doesn’t change the fact that it is fascinating to watch how movie magic is made.

Created by the director-writer team of James Wan and Leigh Whannell and produced by the masterminds of Paranormal Activity: Oren Peli, Jason Blum and Steven Schneider, Insidious stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins and Barbara Hershey. Check out our exclusive interviews with James Wan, Leigh Whannell and Oren Peli from SXSW 2011 in Austin, TX.

Synopsis
This horror film is the terrifying story of a family who shortly after moving discover that dark spirits have possessed their home and that their son has inexplicably fallen into a coma. Trying to escape the haunting and save their son, they move again, only to discover that it was not their house that was haunted.

In the first behind-the-scenes clip you’ll be privy to a lot of set-up, rehearsing and filming in what looks like someone’s bedroom. We here at Dread Central usually refer to such things simply as Saturday. Watch for a piece of stunt action in the middle of the clip.

In the second behind-the-scenes clip, Leigh Whannell gives us a tour of his trailer space that he shares with Angus Sampson right next to Rose Byrne. Also of note is the flagrant usage of pudding.
