Iconic Horror Composer Fabio Frizzi Will Be Performing Live in New York City This Halloween!

Attention readers in New York City! If you’re one of those horror fans that likes to plan out your Halloween week well in advance, I may have just found an incredible event for you! Legendary horror composer Fabio Frizzi will be performing not one but two nights of live music with his eight-piece band starting on Sunday, October 29th. Both events are being presented by Ship to Shore PhonoCo.
The first night will feature Frizzi and his band playing along to Lucio Fulci’s classic film The Beyond. However, what makes this special is that it’s not the theatrical or director’s cut of the film but rather the composer’s cut! The program description reads, “We are used to having theatrical cuts and director’s cuts, but nobody ever dared to conceive and perform a movie version following the musician’s point of view. A new score for a cult classic, realized in a more modern way, almost in the Hollywood style, with very few moments of silence but with great respect for its original identity.”
The following night, Monday, October 30th, will see Frizzi and Co. jam out to some of his most famous compositions from films such as The Beyond, City of the Living Dead, Seven Black Notes, and more.
