Release Date Shuffle – Piranha 3DD and Apollo 18

Unfortunately it looks like we’re going to be waiting a bit longer (in one case a lot longer) for two films we’ve been buzzing about quite a bit lately.
Deadline is reporting that Piranha 3DD, a Dimension title formerly dated September 16, 2011, is now set for release on November 23, 2011. Given that the film hasn’t even begun casting yet, this comes as no surprise. John Gulager will direct from a script by writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.
The big shocker here, though, comes from the fact that Gonzalo López-Gallego’s found footage flick Apollo 18 has been warped from its April, 2011 release date to January 6th, 2012. That’s one hell of a bump.
