Several name actors that we already knew were in negotiations to join Jonathan Liebesman’s Wrath of the Titans have now been confirmed, and we have to say that the sequel is shaping up nicely!

Bill NighyThe biggest name to sign on is certainly Bill Nighy (pictured; the Underworld series, Shaun of the Dead), who will play the fallen god Hephaestus. Joining him will be Rosamund Pike as Queen Andromeda (replacing Alexa Davalos, who played the Greek character in last year’s Clash of the Titans) and Toby Kebbell, who is set to play Poseidon’s demigod son, Agenor.

According to Variety the sequel, which is being helmed by Battle: Los Angeles director Liebesman, will see Sam Worthington reprise his role as Perseus alongside Ralph Fiennes as Hades, Liam Neeson as Zeus, and Gemma Arterton as Io. Edgar Ramirez (as god of war Ares) and Danny Huston (as god of the sea Poseidon) also topline the pic.

Dan Mazeau, David Leslie Johnson, and Steven Knight penned the script while Basil Iwanyk and Polly Cohen Johnsen produce.

Look for Wrath of the Titans in theatres just about a year from now on March 30th, 2012.
