Review Round-Up – Children of the Corn: Genesis and Hellraiser: Revelations

Two movies nobody asked for. Both films made in a few days for an amount of cash less than the size of most film’s food budgets. One franchise with a character who despite some really inane sequels remains one of the most beloved in the horror genre. The other … well the other comes from a franchise we’re not even sure anyone really watches. How did they stack up?
This past week both Hellraiser: Revelations (review here) and Children of the Corn: Genesis (review here) (formerly Children of the Corn: The Dweller) quietly made their premiere in a single theatre in Los Angeles, California. There was no fanfare. There was no hoopla. In fact, we found out about it because of a reader.
That being said, we wasted no time to send a couple of reviewers to the theatre to try and make some sense of this whole odd situation. The results may even surprise you!
