Tom Cruise Gets Infected in the Latest Trailer for The Mummy

A third trailer for Universal Pictures’ The Mummy has been released and this one explains how Tom Cruise survived the major plane crash that has been at the center of the marketing campaign for the film since it all began. Per the trailer, it seems that Sofia Boutella’s Princess Ahmanet curses Cruise and now he’s infected with the same evil that courses through her own body.

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy. The cast also includes Annabelle Wallis (King Arthur, “Peaky Blinders”), Jake Johnson (Jurassic World), Courtney B. Vance (“American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson”), Oscar winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator), and Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Star Trek Beyond) as the titular character.
The creative team on this action-adventure event is led by director/producer Alex Kurtzman and producer Chris Morgan. Sean Daniel, who produced the most recent Mummy trilogy, produces alongside Kurtzman and Morgan. The script is by Jon Spaihts and Christopher McQuarrie.

Synopsis:
