Phoebe Tonkin Latest Member of the Secret Circle

Remember the day when witches were ugly wart-covered green chicks that hairpins would fly off of when they ran? Silly stereotypes for sure, but man, they were fun. In reality witches, or Wiccans, are peaceful folks who are just as normal as you or I. Let’s hope just a little evil peeks through for The CW’s new show “Secret Circle”.
The latest star to join the new series’ fold is Aussie actress Phoebe Tonkin (pictured right). She’ll be joining the previously announced Brittany Robertson and Thomas Dekker to play a character named “Faye”.
“Secret Circle” centers on Cassie, a California teen who moves to her mom’s hometown of New Salem and discovers that she is a witch and part of a secret coven. She’s also the key that will unlock a centuries-old battle of good versus evil. Dekker portrays Adam, the oldest member of the aforementioned coven and a love interest for Cassie.
Williamson is penning the script and serving as an executive producer on the project, which, with its auspices, has emerged as a strong contender for a pilot pickup. The CW’s pilot episode will be directed by Liz Friedlander. Keep it here for more as it comes.
