Help Swords of the Swashbucklers Reach its Third Stretch Goal For New Issues!

Between the years of 1984 and 1987, Marvel published the pirate adventure comic series Swords of the Swashbucklers, which was created by Bill Mantlo and Jackson “Butch” Guice. The series has been out of print for over 25 years and Dynamite Entertainment decided that this was an unforgivable situation.

That’s why they turned to Kickstarter to raise the funds necessary to create a remastered trade paperback. Asking for less than $10,000, the crowdfund is, as of this post going live, just under $42,000. This has enabled the team to create two stretch goals. The first guaranteed that everyone at or above a certain tier would also get throwback collectible stickers. The second gives the same tiers temporary tattoos as well.

If the campaign reaches $50,000, Dynamite Entertainment will enact their third stretch goal, which is far more ambitious and exciting for those who love the series. Working with the Mantlo family and Guice, they will create new comics for the series!
