Zombies. Sure they have weaknesses: They generally don’t reason, can often be killed with a head shot, are not particularly strong and are usually slow.

But…. zombies shrug off almost all physical trauma as if it’s of no more consequence then a mosquito bite, their infection spreads faster than that of a vampire and they can operate at any time of the day. Zombies also won’t be stopped by a stake through the heart, don’t have an adverse reaction to holy water or crucifixes and don’t give a frog’s fat ass whether there’s garlic in the mix or not. They also have no blood to drink and since they are a reanimated corpse operating primarily on motor instinct, they have no will to control. Plus they travel in larger numbers. MUCH larger numbers.

Now, in the vampires’ favor are their ability to change forms, fly, their being physically stronger and,by and large, more intelligent than the rotting undead. .

However in terms of sheer numbers and the ability to shrug off trauma, if you throw vampires up against a mob of the “Return of the living dead” style speaking, reasoning, fast, violent and won’t-die-unless-you-totally-destroy-the- body zombies, then chances are Drac and the rest and the lost boys are gonna get their asses kicked and eaten.

Damn. I think I just came up with a terrific ending for the last Twilight flick.

Also, Vampires need to drink blood to survive, if they drink zombie blood, could they not get infected that way? Even if they win, they lose.

How would you “train” the zombies to even want to kill a vampire? Zombies don’t attack for shits and giggles. They want/need flesh. It’s instinctive. It’s sense of smell. They KNOW you are one big ‘ol chunk of live Bic Mac tasting flesh. Now vampires, they’re dead too. Their flesh has long since regenerated. How would the zombie even tell the difference between another zombie and an undead vampire?

I’m not gonna kill you. Your job will be to tell the rest of them that death is coming for them, tonight. Tell them Eric Draven sends his regards.

I’m very much looking forward to the “Deadliest Warrior” episode where they pit the Jun Horde from Beastmaster against the Atrox Army from Dragon Wars.

This is not even fair. Not even close. VAMPIRES!!!!!

But which vampires? The kind who can transform into bats or mist, hypnotize with their eyes etc… or the modern wuss sparkley variety?

      • GJW

Hahahahahaha. LOL. Good question. Considering I do not even recognize Twilight, or the sparkly things IN Twilight as vampires, my answer would be any and all but them. If I had to pick ONE particular type of Vampire to fight Zombies, cinema created (mind you), it would be the vamps from 30 days of Night.
