Some fresh chatter coming in for the third entry into the Riddick franchise, The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking, and we’re really happy to hear what Vin Diesel and director David Twohy have to say about the upcoming project.

“The movie itself is gonna be a lot like Pitch Black because of the money involved,” says Twohy in a recent video interview over on Vin Diesel’s Facebook page (see below). “We want to maintain our R rating at any cost, and it’s cost us a lot.

[The R rating] “is a big deal,” Diesel chimes in. “We’re committed to going R.”

Music to our ears. Dig on the entire video below.

Synopsis
Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
