More Recut Trailer Shenanigans: Imagine The Edge of Seventeen as a Slasher

Suddenly remixed trailers are everywhere, and as hype for tonight’s 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards broadcast, the network has provided us with another: coming-of-age teen comedy The Edge of Seventeen‘s promo recut as a slasher.
In the film, Hailee Steinfeld stars as Nadine, whose high school life gets even more unbearable when her best friend, Krista, starts dating her older brother.
Be sure to tune in to the Awards show – or just keep your eyes here – for a new sneak peek of IT scheduled to air at some point tonight. We’ll have it up as soon as MTV releases it online.

Everyone knows that growing up is hard, and life is no easier for high school junior Nadine (Steinfeld), who is already at peak awkwardness when her all-star older brother, Darian (Blake Jenner), starts dating her best friend, Krista (Haley Lu Richardson). All at once, Nadine feels more alone than ever, until the unexpected friendship of a thoughtful boy (Hayden Szeto) gives her a glimmer of hope that things just might not be so terrible after all.
And then the stalking and killing starts…
