Anime is flooding American pop culture nowadays, but is there at least a trickle of blood for the horror fan among these wide eyed toons? Oh HELL yes; Trinity Blood is a tale of vampires, religion, technology and magic, all woven together in a dizzying story line. Here’s the breakdown…
The character “Abel Nighttroad” is based on the Japanese novels written by the late Sunao Yoshida, Trinity Blood, and was later adapted into a manga and anime series. The character design and original illustrations are done by THORES Shibamoto. “Abel” is a Catholic priest who seems to be nothing more than a clumsy, absent-minded fool on the surface. In truth, he is a Crusnik, a vampire of extreme, extraordinary power, and is an ancient being, hundreds of years old. He is a vampire that feeds on the blood of vampires. In his human form he fights with a gun that shoots silver bullets. As a Crusnik, is able to transform into various forms based on the amount of nanomachines in his body that he activates. In his higher forms he wields a huge scythe materialized from his own blood. Nice.
“Abel” is a 8-9″ tall PVC figure fully painted and comes in a window box.
Trinity Blood “Abel Nightroad” will be released in August through Organic Hobby. Hit up your local comic shop or favorite online retailer of toys to find out how to get your hands on this piece.
