Ever since its release in 2000, fans have been clamoring for a sequel to M. Night Shyamalan’s superhero thriller Unbreakable. The follow-up to his 1999 film The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable was a critical and box office success.

While folks were expecting a twist ending thanks to the writer/director’s previous effort, it was still a wonderful film with a heartwarming tale that ended in a rather shocking and disturbing manner.

Today Shyamalan revealed that not only is there going to be a sequel to Unbreakable, but it already has a title AND a release date. Dubbed Glass, the film will be released on January 18, 2019, and it will see Shyamalan reteam with Jason Blum and Universal Pictures.

Now, there are going to be spoilers ahead so I’ll put them below Shyamalan’s tweets in case you don’t want to ruin this film as well as others.

Confirmed to reprise their roles are Bruce Willis as David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price/Mr. Glass, Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, and James McAvoy, who will play his multi-personality character from Split. As Shyamalan explains in his tweet, “My new film is the sequel to #Unbreakable AND #Split. It was always my dream to have both films collide in this third film.

Unbreakable Synopsis:
David Dunn (Bruce Willis) is the sole survivor of a devastating train wreck. Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson) is a mysterious stranger who offers a bizarre explanation as to why David escaped without a single scratch — an explanation which threatens to change David’s family and his life forever.
