A Clip and a Few Spoilers from The Vampire Diaries Episode 16 – The House Guest

It’s too bad Nina Dobrev hasn’t gotten more recognition for her stellar portrayal of both good girl Elena and her bad girl counterpart Katherine on “The Vampire Diaries”, and the clip from this week’s episode, “The House Guest”, shows why. Plain and simple, she’s awesome! As are the couple of spoilers for the ep that came our way today. Read on for the scoop.
Episode 16 “The House Guest” Synopsis (2/24/11 Air Date):
A NIGHT OF CONFESSIONS — Katherine’s (Nina Dobrev) mind games are getting on everyone’s nerves; but Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley), and Elena (Nina Dobrev) realize that her knowledge of Mystic Falls history will help them stay alive. Frustrated with her relationship with Matt (Zach Roerig), Caroline (Candice Accola) finds a new way to get his attention.
Alaric (Matt Davis) makes a surprising confession to Jenna (Sara Canning), and Katherine makes a different kind of confession to Damon. Stefan and Bonnie (Katerina Graham) try to convince Jonas (guest star Randy Goodwin) and Luka (guest star Bryton James) that they should all be working together, but Jonas’ lack of trust leads to a violent and fiery confrontation. Steven R. McQueen also stars.

Now … what about those spoilers? According to Ask Ausiello on TVLine, Thursday’s episode is not to be missed. It boasts two deaths, one super-romantic Matt/Caroline scene, and — in the hour’s final minutes — a doozy of a twist. The show goes on another brief hiatus afterwards so at least it’s ending this batch of eps on a high note!
