After a long wait, Gun Media and IllFonic have announced that Friday the 13th: The Game will have its official release date on May 26th as a digital download for Xbox One, PS4, and Steam at a cost of $40.

The game included the involvement of Kane Hodder, who played Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood through Jason X, as well as Tom Savini, who handled the makeup and effects for Friday the 13th as well as Friday the 13: The Final Chapter. Savini also designed a new skin for Jason, which you can see below.

Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person horror, survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor, or for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees. It’s built on a multiplayer platform, with one team playing the counselors and one person playing Voorhees. The former have to find a way to survive either by hiding or escaping. Jason’s role is simple: kill everyone.
