Terror Tweets: Updates on Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Dibbuk Box

A couple of tidbits of information hit Twitter today regarding two projects we’ve been keeping our eyes on: Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s rip-roaring 3D sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Danish director Ole Bornedal’s Dibbuk Box, which has a script by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White that was inspired by true events.

“the great nic cage wrapped on GRSOV” – referring of course to star Nicolas Cage, who is done for now with shooting for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, which has taken place in Romania and Turkey.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance also stars Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth, Violante Placido and Ciaran Hinds. The movie finds Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Cage), hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil (Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son’s body on the boy’s birthday. Its scheduled release date is February 17, 2012.
Synopsis
It has been several years since making a deal with the Devil and Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), living in self-imposed isolation, finds himself as the only person who can help save 10-year-old Danny – and ultimately the world – thanks to his unwanted and uncontrollable power – his ability to transform into the hell-on-wheels monster known as The Ghost Rider.

Matisyahu!?! Talk about your inspired casting. No word yet on exactly whom the Hasidic Jewish reggae musician will be portraying, but as soon as we hear more, we’ll pass it on.
Synopsis
Kyra Sedgwick plays a mom whose youngest child becomes strangely attached to an antique wooden box purchased at a yard sale. The girl’s behavior becomes erratic, and her divorced parents (Sedgwick and Jeffrey Dean Morgan) get the carvings on the box deciphered and find the box contains a spirit bent on devouring its human host.
Dibbuk Box is set for an October 28th theatrical release.
