The movie is based on the 1986 Midway arcade game, which allowed players to assume the role of one of three giant monsters: George the giant ape, Lizzie the giant lizard, or Ralph the giant werewolf.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello, Jake Lacy, Marley Shelton, PJ Byrne, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald, and Breanne Hill co-star. Rampage is produced by Beau Flynn and directed by Brad Peyton. The New Line film has a release date of April 20, 2018.
