There’s an Official Hellboy Cinnamon Whiskey!

While we mourn the fact that Hellboy 3 will never happen, it’s comforting to know that the red beast will live on in other ways. The “World’s Greatest Paranormal Investigator” began as a comic book character in the early 90’s from creator Mike Mignola and has since appeared in live-action films, novelizations, video games, and animated features, as well as in several comic series. And now, the demon with a heart of gold is going to get us all wasted in the form of Hellboy Hell Water, a cinnamon whiskey from XXX Distillery.
The Tennessee-based distillery has teamed up with Prestige Imports and Dark Horse to create this new small batch naturally flavored cinnamon whiskey. The distillery’s two locations in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge will craft produce, bottle and ship product to distributors across America. I spoke with Tom Cleaver of Prestige Import, who was enthusiastic for this whiskey’s release, which he explained has been in the works for four years.
Cleaver also spoke about working with the two XXX Distillery locations, saying, “We selected these craft distillers based on product quality, production capability and great tasting cinnamon whiskey.”

The Pigeon Forge location will be hosting a Grand Opening party this Friday, April 14th, at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. People can try Hellboy Hell Water as well as the distillery’s other offerings, which include several flavors of moonshine.
