Pre-Production Under Way on Stuart Gordon’s The Men

2011 EFMThe folks wheeling and dealing at the 2011 EFM couldn’t care less that it’s the weekend as evidenced by the news that director Stuart Gordon and his Re-Animator producer Brian Yuzna are in pre-production on The Men.

Per Screen Daily The Men is the story of a woman who discovers that earth is captive to an alien race that took control of the planet half a million years ago. The late Dan O’Bannon, whose credits include Total Recall, wrote the screenplay. The Little Film Company co-president Robbie Little serves as executive producer on the project, which is out to casting.

“We have admired Brian and Stuart’s films for years and are very happy to be making this project with them now,” Little said. “It’s especially thrilling to be working on a project written by the great Dan O’Bannon.

    Thank you DC for making my night! Stuart Gordon is one of my icons. I have referred to him as the “Spielberg of low budget horror” for a number of years now. That he is the one bringing O’Bannon’s final work to life is immensely satisfying to me. Really looking forward to this one.

    More great news, Gordon & O’bannon is a golden combination. This news coupled with the new Nacho Cerda announcemnt has made my weekend.
