The Phantasm franchise is an interesting one, if you stop and think about it. It’s totally independent, there haven’t been any remakes/reboots, and they’ve all featured a semi-permanent cast and crew. We on Dread Central always say that the horror community is one giant family and I think the people associated with Phantasm can truly understand that feeling. Whether or not you like the films, there’s something really special and heartwarming known that so many people have remained with the franchise over the years.
To celebrate the franchise and its legacy, a boxset called the Phantasm Collection, which was put together by Well Go USA, will be coming out tomorrow. And what better way to see what’s inside than by watching Phantasm writer/director/creator Don Coscarelli himself do an unboxing video! You can see the action for yourself below!
