Blumhouse has officially announced Blumhouse TV, a new division that will bring dark genre fare to the small screen, says Jason Blum to NY Times. One of the first projects that is in the works is a Syfy-USA Network original series set in the universe of The Purge, which was announced last year.

Interestingly enough, their other big project is going to be a Showtime series that will tackles Roger Ailes, the Fox News executive who resigned after facing multiple sexual assault claims. Titled “Secure and Hold: The Last Days of Roger Ailes”, the show will be a mini-series and it has not yet begun casting. There are suggestions that we may see it air by next Spring.

Blumhouse TV was made possible by teaming with ITV Studios in Britain, who has a 45% ownership in the venture.
