The Walking Dead Getting Itself a Writing Staff

When word broke that the writers of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” were let go a few months back, fans started becoming increasingly more and more nervous. Well not to worry, folks, a new staff has been acquired and everything is very much on track.

According to Deadline Glen Mazzara (who wrote one of Season One’s episodes on a freelance basis) has closed a deal to join AMC’s breakout hit “The Walking Dead” as a writing executive producer and No.2 to creator/ executive producer/ director Frank Darabont for the show’s upcoming second season. He is in the process of putting together a staff of about 5 writers.

“The Walking Dead” Season Two will be home to a proper 13 episodes. Season One will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on March 8th.
