With the WWE’s big event just a little over 24 hours away, some pretty cool casting news has come our way that has us smiling from ear-to-ear and Vince McMahon absolutely furious!

According to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on Twitter, the megastar will be missing this year’s Wrestlemania, but we think you’ll be pleased to find out what he’s doing… He’s headed to the set of Shane Black’s The Predator to play “Dillon, Jr.,” the son of the character originally portrayed by Carl Weathers in the original 1987 classic.

Johnson joins the previously announced Thomas Jane, Edward James Olmos, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski, Augusto Aguilera, and Keegan-Michael Key.

Black is directing from a script by Fred Dekker. John Davis, Joel Silver, and Lawrence Gordon — who produced the original — are producing.

Look for The Predator in theaters on February 9th, 2018.
