Eduardo Rodriguez to Explore The Darkness of the Road

Hitchhikers, man. They’re nothing but trouble. Every time they show up they’re either coming from Disneyland, ready to serve you head cheese, or looking to slice you up in a million pieces. For your own safety … LET THEM WALK!

But then again, if people didn’t pull over to pick them up, we wouldn’t have any hitchhikin’ horror movies now would we? According to Bloody Disgusting Eduardo Rodriguez, the Venezuelan director of the never released Dimension film Curandero, is attached to yet another project going into the EFM in Berlin, Armored producer Luis Guerrero’s The Darkness of the Road. Look for more on this one soon.

A single mother (Siri) and her daughter (Eve) pull over on a desolated road in a moonless desert. Everything seems to be going according to plan as they resume their trip toward a new home… But after meeting Iris, a young female hitchhiker, Siri realizes that her 6-year-old daughter has gone missing. As the search for Eve develops, a merciless force begins to attack and torment the two women, unraveling a world of terror. Siri and Iris must survive this hellish nightmare if they are to discover the terrifying truth behind Eve’s disappearance…
