The based-on-a-real-haunting Honeymoon from Hell (aka The Legend of Alice Flagg) aired on Lifetime last July, and now it’s out on VOD courtesy of Mar Vista Entertainment. To see if it’s a trip you want to take, check out the new trailer and some additional info below.

Directed by Jake Helgren (Varsity Blood) and written by Helgren and Ralph McCloud, Honeymoon from Hell stars Lexi Giovagnoli, Adam Hagenbuch, Christian Brunetti, Ciara Flynn, Cameron Richardson, and Catherine Hicks. It was filmed in Conway, South Carolina, and originates from a popular local ghost story.

Per MyrtleBeachOnline.com: Alice Flagg lived in the Hermitage in 1848 but was shipped off to school in Charleston to separate her from the love of her life, a man her family believed was beneath her social station. Her brother, Dr. Allard Flagg, brought her back home after the 16-year-old girl fell ill and discovered she was wearing a ring the man had given her, which she wore around her neck secured with a ribbon. Local lore has it that Dr. Flagg ripped the ribbon from Alice’s neck and threw the ring into a nearby creek, and now she haunts the cemetery at All Saints Waccamaw Church, where she was buried, looking for the lost ring.

You can find the film on VOD now with DVD soon to follow.
