Dread Central to Host Prevenge Premiere in NYC March 20th with Alice Lowe and You Can Win Free Tickets!

Dread Central will be hosting the NYC premiere of writer/director/star Alice Lowe’s critically-acclaimed horror comedy Prevenge, and you can win a pair of the 15 sets we have available to the star-studded premiere presented by Shudder!

This special event will take place on Monday, March 20th, at 8:15 pm at the IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue at 3rd Street; 212-924-7771). A hit at film festivals around the world, Prevenge stars Lowe (from Sightseers) as a seven-months-pregnant woman who goes on a murder spree. Lowe will be attending the event and participating in a Q&A following the show.

To enter to win a pair of tickets to Dread Central’s Prevenge premiere, send an email to screenings@dreadcentral.com. Please list “Prevenge” in your subject line. If you win, we will confirm your tickets. See Tony Timpone, your host for the evening, at the door for your freebees.

Tickets will also be available for purchase at the box office or in advance right here. Also, any pregnant woman will be admitted for FREE regardless!

Note: By entering this contest, you are consenting to allow Dread Central and its subsidiaries use of your email address.

Prevenge stars Lowe as Ruth, a pregnant woman driven to a murderous rampage by her unborn child who orders her to kill, kill, KILL! Darker than a womb on a moonless night, Prevenge is Juno meets the Son of Sam, wherein Ruth’s barking bun in the oven prods and pokes at her to send her on a murder bender. You’ll never look at an ultrasound the same way again!

Check out these rave reviews for Prevenge:
“…a grisly fantasy-rhapsody about a sense of invasion and infection that is, arguably, an unacknowledged condition of pregnancy… gruesomely successful.”—Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian

“Gory to the max, darkly hilarious from start to finish, and soaked in hormonal rage, Prevenge is the perfect midnight movie.”—David Ehrlich, IndieWire

“Alice Lowe has now hacked and slashed her way into the male-dominated world of the cult slasher with her debut feature Prevenge. The results are undeniably glorious, and they provide an incredibly lively and fresh take on the genre.”—Thomas Humphrey, Screen Anarchy

Plus you can read Dread Central’s ecstatic review right here.

Prevenge co-stars Gemma Whelan, Kate (The Witch) Dickie, and Jo Hartley and has screened at some of the most prestigious film festivals around the world, including the 2016 Venice International Film Festival, 2016 Toronto International Film Festival, and this year’s South by Southwest.

This exclusive event is presented by our pals at premium streaming service Shudder, who are releasing Prevenge in theaters in NY (at the IFC Center, natch) and LA’s Cinefamily on March 24, as well streaming nationwide.
