Rest in Peace: Elaine Fazio-Mercado

It’s with a heavy heart that we report a great friend of our site and our Brainwaves radio show, Elaine Fazio-Mercado, has passed on at age 68 after a fight with cancer.
Elaine, who joined us on Brainwaves for our fourth episode back in June of 2016, passed on this past January.
Mercado, author of the book Grave’s End, lived in a VERY haunted house for several years before finally being able to move. She discussed her time there on the show with us and more. Beyond that Elaine worked as a nurse, and she had the strange knack of being able to brighten someone’s life with a smile or a laugh. She was a warm, sensitive person, the kind that makes us better just for knowing her.
We here at Dread Central would like to extend our sincerest of condolences to Elaine’s family members, friends, and constituents. Elaine… we sincerely hope that you’ve found the peace that you deserve and thank you for helping us all find ours when we were in need. Much love. You will be missed.
