Lewis Teague’s horror/thriller adaptation of the Stephen King novel Cujo was one of the biggest horror hits of 1983. Starring Dee Wallace (E.T., The Howling, The Hills Have Eyes), the film followed a mother and son who are trapped in a car after a beloved St. Bernard becomes rabid and puts them under siege.
The film follows their struggle to survive, battling the heat, a lack of resources, and the ever-present threat of the titular Cujo.
For those who love the movie, author Lee Gambin (Massacred by Mother Nature: Exploring the Natural Horror Film, The Howling: Studies in the Horror Film) is working on a book that follows the making of Cujo.
