First North American The Vampire Diaries Convention to Be Held this March in Atlanta, GA

EyeCon, which has hosted “True Blood” conventions in Orlando for the past two years, is branching out to include “The Vampire Diaries” on its schedule of events with the first North American convention dedicated to The CW series taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, this March 25th–27th.

Here’s the 411 on the event:

This will be a gathering for fans of “The Vampire Diaries”, who will be immersed into the world of their favorite vampire series! The stars of the show have not made very many appearances at all; this may be your only opportunity to not only meet them but to take photos and get autographs! The weekend will feature games, panels, celebrity Q&As and photo op sessions, celebrity autograph sessions, a cocktail carnival and banquet with the stars, and a masquerade ball on Saturday evening. Atlanta was chosen over Orlando for this convention as it is where “The Vampire Diaries” films so it will keep travel for the celebrity guests to a necessary minimum. If you are a fan of “The Vampire Diaries”, we welcome you enthusiastically and promise a weekend of excitement!

So far Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) and Rob Pralgo (Mayor Lockwood) are the only confirmed guests, but the EyeCon website promises that the Guests/Events page is being updated with more names being added shortly. The con is taking place at the Westin Atlanta Airport and will include a vendor’s room containing an array of horror, sci-fi, comic book, and movie collectibles.
