Giles Isn’t Happy – Anthony Stewart Head Talks Buffy Remake

Anthony Stewart HeadMore “Buffy” alumni are voicing their concerns regarding Warner Bros.’ proposed reboot of the much beloved “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” franchise, and it’s as ugly as you’d expect.

Recently The Huffington Post caught up with actor Anthony Stewart Head, who played Buffy’s watcher Giles on the show, and he certainly didn’t hold back his feelings about the upcoming theatrical feature.

“It’s a horrible idea,” says Head. “It’s a horrible idea inasmuch as Buffy was a great conceit. It was a great story … I don’t feel that you can then remake that without the original creator on board. It doesn’t make sense. And I mean, somewhere down the line, I suppose sometimes … I suppose you could, but it never sits very comfortably. With someone like Joss, why would you want to? Well, I know why you want to. You want to make money. As he said recently, ‘I hope it’s good!’ [laughs] I love him.”

More as it comes.

Shit’s going down! I suspect a boycott in the next year over this remake/reboot.
“We are bad guys. That means we’ve got more to do other than bullying companies. It’s fun to lead a bad man’s life.”
