Another Hole in the Head! (click to see it bigger)Into its 4th year, San Francisco’s Another Hole In The Head film festival brings the Bay Area yet another two weeks of some of the most insane programming ever running June 1st through the 14th at the Roxie Film Center.

Opening night brings the world premiere of Simon Cathcart’s Stagknight, a horror comedy about a group of paintballers pitted against a medieval knight hell-bent on vengeance. Throughout the festival ticket holders will also be able to check out cutting edge flicks like Zombie Farm, The Thirst, Driller, Simon Says, Automaton Transfusion (review), Small Town Folk and the US premiere of Hazard by Japanese maestro Sion Sono (Suicide Club, Strange Circus).

Closing night be sure to catch Unearthed, the new film by Matthew Leutwyler (Dead and Breakfast, listen to Johnny’s interview with him here), who takes a more serious turn with this tale of subterranean creatures laying siege to a small New Mexico town.

Many of the filmmakers will be in attendance as well, so if you are in or around the Bay Area, get on over to the official site for Another Hole in the Head for more info and tickets!
