The holidays are just a couple of days away, and what better way to be thankful for the birth of Christ (you know, that overlooked detail of the season) than with clips of a chick being tortured by demons?

Filmax’s The Possession of Emma Evans aka Exorcismus will be released internationally on December 29th. Look for it here in the States courtesy of IFC Midnight sometime thereafter.

The Possession of Emma Evans was directed by Manuel Carballo and stars Tommy Bastow, Sophie Vavasseur, Richard Felix, Douglas Bradley, and Stephen Billington.

Synopsis
Fifteen-year-old Emma Hawkins is like any other teenage girl; she thinks that her parents don’t understand her. She longs for independence and a life free of family ties and responsibilities, and she is prepared to do anything to achieve it. But one day she will be forced to face up to the consequences of her actions.

It all started off as a bit of fun. Emma never really believed it, but the truth is there is something dark and sinister within her, and it won’t take long to surface.
