With the Dead Space 2 demo hitting the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on Tuesday, December 21st, EA Games debuted a new trailer for the game on G4’s “Attack of the Show” just a short while ago, and of course we have it for you right here!
“The Story So Far” trailer sheds light on Isaac Clarke’s bloody and spine-tingling new journey. Per G4’s “AOTS”: Think of this video as SparkNotes for Dead Space–after watching it, you should be pretty well caught up on the backstory you’ll need to enjoy the sequel and its demo. In addition, don’t forget that to celebrate the game’s upcoming launch, EA recently opened the doors on its official Dead Space YouTube Channel.
Dead Space 2 pushes the limits of action, horror, and terror. After waking up in a sprawling, dark, and mysterious location, Dead Space 2 hero Isaac Clarke again finds himself thrust into the middle of a massive Necromorph invasion. Surrounded by the screeching cries of undead monsters and the haunting drum of echoing noises, Isaac plots a course through abandoned building after creepy abandoned building. New tools to gruesomely slice and dismember the Necromorphs complement Isaac’s signature Plasma Cutter, empowering him as he meets new characters, explores epic Zero-G environments, and fights against a relentless Necromorph onslaught. Survival isn’t the only thing on Isaac’s mind in Dead Space 2 – this time, he calls the shots.
Look for Dead Space 2 to deliver best-in-class sound design, visuals, and action sequences upon its release January 25, 2011, on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
