The fact that the release of EA’s Dead Space 2 is right around the corner has us giddy like giggling schoolgirls at the junior prom. The thought of all the strategic dismemberment that’s waiting to come our way? Magnifique!
To celebrate the game’s launch, EA has just opened the doors on its official Dead Space YouTube Channel, which is home to the video you see below featuring Isaac Clarke working at the Visceral Studio (or at least trying to!) and more.
And don’t forget that the demo for Dead Space 2 is out next week! Fans will be able to fight through the Church of Unitology, check out the new Javelin Gun, and experience the improved zero-g on 12/21 worldwide for XBLA and PSN in the US and 12/22 for PSN in the EU.
Dead Space 2 pushes the limits of action, horror, and terror. After waking up in a sprawling, dark, and mysterious location, Dead Space 2 hero Isaac Clarke again finds himself thrust into the middle of a massive Necromorph invasion. Surrounded by the screeching cries of undead monsters and the haunting drum of echoing noises, Isaac plots a course through abandoned building after creepy abandoned building. New tools to gruesomely slice and dismember the Necromorphs complement Isaac’s signature Plasma Cutter, empowering him as he meets new characters, explores epic Zero-G environments, and fights against a relentless Necromorph onslaught. Survival isn’t the only thing on Isaac’s mind in Dead Space 2 – this time, he calls the shots.
Look for Dead Space 2 to deliver best-in-class sound design, visuals, and action sequences upon its release January 25, 2011, on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Along with visiting the Dead Space Facebook page, be sure to check out the official Dead Space 2 website, which has shiploads of extra content that expands on what’s been going on since the conclusion of the first Dead Space, and follow @DeadSpace on Twitter, too.
