The Dead Walk for Charity!

Though undead shamblers are technically dead, somewhere within their rotting carcasses a heart still beats … if only figuratively. With the holiday season just around the corner, the dead would like to take this time to give back!

From the Press Release:
What says the “holiday season” better than the living dead dressed as various Christmas icons walking the streets of Pasadena, California? Nothing will “scream” the 2010 holidays better than zombies of the So.Cal Zombie Walk!

The creeps at the Southern California Zombie Walk are at it again this Saturday, December 18, 2010. The dead will rise and walk the main drag of Old Town Pasadena, California – not only raising hairs on the back of the neck but collecting toys as well for the charity “Spark of Love”. These are zombies that actually care (who would have thought such a thing!) and really know how to celebrate the season of giving while creeping, dragging and moaning along. The upcoming walk will mark the third annual So.Cal Zombie “Scary X-mas” holiday walk. Each season the zombies multiply in numbers and the walk is bigger and better than the previous year.

Forget the carolers, lights, fake snow and crowded malls! Spend a brisk December evening spreading some serious ghoul-tide cheer with the So.Cal Zombie Walk! Get ready for variations of all the characters that say Christmas – but zombie-fied! You have to see it to believe it!

Spark of Love is the annual holiday charity organized by the Los Angeles County Fire Department in which participants collect toys to help Santa Claus give gifts to children who might not otherwise receive any.
