Patrick Lussier Updates Us on the Fate of Halloween 3D

Patrick Lussier Updates Us on the Fate of Halloween 3DWe announced way back in September of 2009 that the Weinsteins had picked Patrick Lussier to direct the third chapter in the Halloween universe created by Rob Zombie, called tentatively, Halloween 3D. He would have been working from a script from long-time collaborator Todd Farmer, and the movie was to have been in theatres last August. Then financial woes for the studio reared their ugly head and things went silent.

So what is that status of the project? Lussier offered an update during his latest interview with MovieFone.

You’d really have to ask Dimension Films and Bob Weinstein,” he tells the site. “We were very excited about the script we wrote. Malek Akkad was very excited about the script we wrote. We loved Malek and we’d love to make the movie with him, but that’s up to the grown-ups who are above our pay grade, so who knows. I am frequently surprised by whatever happens next.

Let’s keep the faith, shall we? I mean we are getting more Hellraiser and Children of the Corn sequels, right? Nobody even wanted them!

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

There’s really nothing left to do with Mikey.
“We are bad guys. That means we’ve got more to do other than bullying companies. It’s fun to lead a bad man’s life.”

Put him in space with Pinhead and Jason(X)?
OH,there IS one more thing to do with Mikey,DO HIM RIGHT in a new film so we can all have a good taste in our mouths about the Halloween franchise once again.
NOT that I have a bad taste in my mouth about the franchise itself, just the last (two) films.

“I have all the characteristics of a human being.Blood, flesh, skin, hair;but not a single, clear, identifiable emotion, except for greed and disgust.”
