Anne RiceI, like many fans out there, was surprised by how good the big screen adaptation of Interview with the Vampire was. Sure, they took a few liberties with the characters, but overall it was a really well acted good time. Queen of the Damned? Not so much.

With vampires raging on in Hollywood, there’s been talk of rebooting Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles for the big screen. In an interview with New York Magazine’s Vulture, Rice spoke about the filmmaking possibilities, her reaction to Twilight, and her ever changing religious beliefs.

I hope there will be [more movies], but I don’t have anything firm to report,” Rice tells the site. “A lot of interest, a lot of talk. The rights are all mine; they don’t belong to a studio anymore, they belong to me. It’s been a long struggle, but we have a lot of interest and there’s a lot of talks going on, so we’ll see. I’m hoping. I’m hoping that I will have something to announce soon.
