September, 2011 is going to be one hell of a fishy month for horror fans! Relativity’s still-to-be-renamed Shark Night 3D will be swimming through theatres, and just two weeks later on September 16, 2011, Dimension’s toothy sequel Piranha 3DD will be taking a bite out of the box office.
The sequel is being directed by Feast‘s John Gulager, who will be working with his long-time collaborators Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan on the screenplay.
F/X genius Gary Tunnicliffe will be on board to handle the film’s guaranteed to be gruesome effects work, of which he said previously, “They’re gonna go for it! It’s gonna be blood and tits ahoy, certainly…trust me, I think this will leave the first one, in terms of blood and sex, in its wake, from what I’ve already heard. I was on the phone a couple times going, ‘oh, my god’.”
Look for more soon!
