Official Teaser Trailer for MTV’s Teen Wolf

MTVIt looks like things are moving right along with MTV’s “Teen Wolf”, a reinvention of the 1985 werewolf comedy that starred Michael J. Fox, as a teaser trailer for the network’s upcoming series has hit the Net. Of course we have it for you right here!

But first here’s a breakdown of the three male leads courtesy of MTV’s Hollywood Crush. A video introducing them follows the trailer.

TYLER POSEY – Tyler plays Scott McCall, the titular teen wolf. He is best friends with Stiles, and the two have a good history with each other. Says Tyler about coming on board with the show, “When I first heard about the show, that they were doing ‘Teen Wolf,’ I was pretty stoked about it because I loved the movie. My agents got me the audition for it, and I read the script, and it blew me away. It was completely unlike anything I have read. The script was awesome and was one of the things I wanted the most out of anything, and I just worked hard and got it.”

DYLAN O’BRIEN – Dylan plays Scott’s best friend, Stiles. The two go way back, what they assume is to grade school. “I didn’t even know what ‘Teen Wolf’ was,” he told MTV News about originally signing on to the show. “I hadn’t seen the movie. I almost didn’t even go to the audition. Look at that.”

TYLER HOECHLIN – This Tyler plays Derek Hale, who seems to be the antagonist of sorts for the other Tyler’s Scott. Derek is the “mystery of the show” whom the characters — and the other actors — don’t know what’s going on with. “He’s on the moral fence,” Tyler H. said, with Dylan adding to reinforce the statement: “[Derek] wears a leather jacket.”

“Criminal Minds” creator Jeff Davis wrote “Teen Wolf” for MTV and is executive producing the series with Rene Echevarria, Marty Adelstein, and Michael Thorn. Russell Mulcahey (Resident Evil: Extinction) directed the pilot.

I long for a brave and innovative director to come forward and tackle Werewolves.

This would be a perfect subject for the new breed of French horror director who’s not afraid to go full out. I want savagery and animalistic violence!

Zombies have been saved, who will save the poor forlorn Werewolf film?

“Well, for one thing, I think he was probably a closet homosexual who did a lot of cocaine. That whole Yale thing.”

Um,fuck. I really don’t want to type this. Ok,(cough),here goes…..That really doesn’t look that bad (for a series based off of an 80’s movie by MTV). Kind of cool actually. I loved the fact that the hunter is his girl interests father. That should be interesting.
