Filmmaker Rick Greenwood got in touch with Dread Central to let us know that the debut trailer for his recently wrapped zombie short Hinnon Valley has made its way online. Of course we’ve got the goods for you right here.
Produced, written and directed by Greenwood, Hinnon Valley (set visit here) stars Alexis Zebolis, Maria Shadchina and Joel Zaldivar and revolves around a deadly undead outbreak in the secluded town of Hinnon Valley. Greenwood communicated that he secured the talents of the LA-based band Living Dead Lights, who provided a track for the film (you can hear that song in the trailer linked below).
As for the film’s distribution plans, Greenwood tells us, “I hope the film is received well, although as of right now there is no distribution set. I plan on sending it out to festivals though and hope it gets a strong showing there, which I hope will open up some possibilities for distribution. Because it is only a short right now, I hope to market it out on possibly a compilation DVD or get it air time on some cable channels. I have been speaking to some people already about the possibility of making Hinnon Valley into a feature.”
As for what else the filmmaker has up his sleeve, “About a half dozen other projects,” Greenwood told us. “I have a script, which I wrote and which is tentatively called Origin, which is a very dark noir, action-suspense film about a fallen angel who doesn’t know who or what he is – only that he is drawn to kill and punish people, which he relishes in. First up, however, is a supernatural drama feature about a prize fighter. It is a project that a colleague and I will be adapting for the screen. We are in the process of negotiating the funds, but it looks hopeful.”
