Some new info has come down via Variety Asia Online regarding a new horror film being produced by Versus and Midnight Meat Train director Ryuhei Kitamura. The film is called Yoroi and will mark the directorial debut of frequent Kitamura screenwriter Isao Kiriyama.
Kiriyama penned everything from Alive to Sky High to Kitamura’s last film before Meat Train, LoveDeath, so don’t expect the standard J-horror crap from this pairing. Yoroi, according to Variety Aisa Online, will deal with a kidnapped family, robberies and samurai zombies.
Well, that’s a bit vague … but seriously, do you need to know more beyond fuckin’ samurai zombies?! I don’t. Keep it here, anyway, just in case we learn more in the coming weeks!
