IFC To Release Exorcismus and Kidnapped

This bit of news is nothing to scoff at – especially for those among you constantly bemoaning the lack of original horror films on the big screen. IFC is looking to give us fans something to look forward to in early 2011.

According to the folks at Arrow in the Head, IFC will be looking to release both Manuel Carballo’s Exorcismus (formally The Possession of Emma Evans) and Miguel Angel Vivas’ Kidnapped in theaters and through video on demand early next year. IFC Films’ President, Jonathan Sehring, had this to say of their latest acquisitions: “Both Manuel Carballo and Miguel Angel Vivas have crafted terrifyingly wonderful films to help keep everyone up at night. Their work exemplifies the type of cinema that IFC Midnight wants to be known for.”

Keep a close watch on these two, folks. We’ll bring you official dates when we have ’em but, in the meantime, dig on the nifty poster art for Exorcismus below.
