Dark Shadows on Track to Start Shooting in April

Johnny DeppSome more news for fans looking forward to Johnny Depp and Tim Burton’s upcoming collaboration on a re-imagining of the classic vampire soap opera from a few decades back!

According to Deadline Hollywood the film had been slated to begin production in January, 2011, but today it was announced that it has been pushed back to April due to scheduling conflicts. Well, at least there’s a start date in sight, right?

Seth Grahame-Smith will be writing and Johnny Depp is attached to star and produce with Graham King’s GK Flms. Depp had obtained feature rights “Dark Shadows” in 2007 from the estate of Dan Curtis, the producer/director who created “Dark Shadows.” The series aired on weekdays on ABC from 1966 to 1971 with 1,225 episodes.
