Talk about madness! We’re not even sure if we care anymore. Awwww. Who are we kidding? Of course we care! Just like you, we’re dying for Ghostbusters 3 to become a reality, and if this latest story is to be believed, we may actually be in luck!
Production Weekly reports that Sony’s Columbia Pictures is aiming at a May 2011 start date for Ghostbusters 3, which could conceivably make it a part of their 2012 line-up.
As of now here’s what we know. Supposedly Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky’s latest rewrite was approved, with a little help from producer/star Dan Aykroyd. Ivan Reitman will direct with Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver all returning to star. The plot is said to revolve around Dana and Peter’s lovechild, Oscar, and his newfound job as a “Ghost Buster”
