Mr. Mercedes Picks Up Ann-Margret

The forever ravishing Ann-Margret is the latest addition to the ever-growing cast of the latest Stephen King adaptation, Mr. Mercedes!
Based on Stephen King’s 2014 book of the same name, Mr. Mercedes follows a demented killer (“Penny Dreadful’s” Harry Treadaway) who taunts a retired police detective (Brendan Gleeson) with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he is able to strike again.
According to THR Ann-Margret will play will play Ida Silver, the next-door neighbor of Gleeson’s Det. Bill Hodges. Ida doesn’t miss much and is a real piece of work: prickly, outspoken, self-serving, intimidating, and vulnerable. She joins a cast that also includes Kelly Lynch (Magic City).
David E. Kelley wrote the adaptation, which is being produced by Sonar Entertainment, and Jack Bender (“Lost”) is directing. Both executive produce along with Temple Hill Entertainment’s Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey.
