The Host 2 Coming at You in 3D

Some interesting news coming in for the sequel to Bong Joon-Ho’s critically acclaimed Korean monster mash! Seems as if the creature will be leaping off the screen when the second installment of this budding franchise hits theatres.
The story comes in today via The Hollywood Reporter:
“Host 2, is being prepped as a 3D project, according to the film’s producer Chungeorahm Films. “Given the nature of the film and the current trends in the global film market, we think that 3D is the medium to go,” said Su-yeon Kim at the company’s international business division. “But this will delay the film’s release date and bring significant changes to the film’s logistics.”
In retrospect we’re not at all surprised, but damn it, this 3D stuff is truly getting tiresome. Just please shoot in 3D and don’t convert. Look for The Host 2 sometime in 2012.
